Description
Maserati GranTurismo Rent in Dubai
Maserati GranTurismo Rent in Dubai embodies the irresistible allure of true Italian style, combined with exhilarating, race-bred performance.
The striking, completely restyled front end is dominated by a new, deep-cut oval front grille proudly bearing the Maserati Trident in chrome, with bold red detailing: a tradition reserved only for the most powerful Maserati models. The Sport version features an elegant new trim, for the steeply raked Bi-Xenon headlights with Adaptive Light Control.
Launched in 2008 as a replacement for the Maserati GranSport, the Maserati GranTurismo Rent in Dubai predates Fiat’s 2009 merger with Chrysler, as well as Fiat Chrysler’s 2014 spinoff of Maserati parent Ferrari. Thus, unlike other Masers, it doesn’t share parts or components with any Fiat or Chrysler models. The GranTurismo is a beautifully styled 2+2 luxury-sport two-door coupe and convertible. Aimed at the Mercedes-Benz CL-class and Jaguar XK, it’s designed to be more luxury than sport. Based on the larger Quattroporte sedan, the GranTurismo is considered Maserati’s “halo” model.
The 4.7-liter V-8 derived from the Ferrari 458 engine is rated at 454 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque, with a 4.5- to 4.7-second 0-60 mph time and 185 mph top speed. It comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. A cross-plane crankshaft gives the V-8 a distinct rip that’s muted in Normal mode and perfectly obnoxious when you press the Sport button. But running this naturally aspirated engine to its 7500-rpm redline weakens your will and makes you realize that it hasn’t kept in step with our turbocharged times. Most cars at or even below the Maserati GranTurismo Rent in Dubai price easily outrun it, courtesy of forced induction. Adjustable shocks on the base GranTurismo Sport model allow a comfortable ride even in their firmest position, and even the single-mode setting in the more aggressive MC model keeps things comfortable. On twisty mountain roads, the cornering grip is excellent, though the GranTurismo’s long 115.8-inch wheelbase and 4400-pound weight cannot maintain the body control of the Mercedes-Benz SL, for example. But steering feel and precision from the Maserati’s old-fashioned hydraulic power assist are excellent.
Electronically adjustable dampers in the base Sport model offer a calm ride even when set to their firmest mode. The supposedly more aggressive MC version’s single-mode dampers are also compliant enough for daily duty. Start pushing around the GranTurismo and it can’t hide its long, 115.8-inch wheelbase and more than two tons of mass. On tight mountain passes, it complies with your most absurd requests but with more body motion than any of the latest Mercedes-Benz SLs, not to mention the sportier Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-type. Grip is excellent, and the brakes are strong, if a little dead through the first bit of travel. The steering effort and its creamy responses recall a world before electrically assisted power steering gagged feel.

The Maserati GranTurismo Rent in Dubai interior is swathed in real wood and soft leathers with hand-stitching, from dashboard to rear seats, which offer only enough room for small children. It’s a bespoke Old World quality, with luxury and tastefulness that are best compared with a Bentley, rather than a Mercedes-Benz or Jaguar. Standard features include heated front seats, memory settings, and dual-zone climate control, while the MC trim adds a few cosmetic upgrades, including Maserati’s trident logo stitched into the headrests. In-cabin storage is limited, and the trunk measures a modest 9.2 cubic feet.
Although the Maserati GranTurismo Rent in Dubai has a rear seat, the space is only suitable for children. Front-seat passengers are treated to soft, leather- or faux-suede–wrapped seats and face a dashboard that’s similarly wrapped in cow hide; both feature attractive stitching and the headrests sport embroidered Maserati trident logos. An 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen runs Maserati’s latest Touch Control Plus software, which is, in essence, a re-skinned version of Fiat-Chrysler’s Uconnect interface. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard and all GranTurismo models come with a 10-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system.
In a sense, the Maserati GranTurismo Rent in Dubai reminds us of when Acura redid the new-in-1990 NSX for 2002. It didn’t gain any extra power over the 2001 model, only a cosmetic and chassis refresh. As much as we still loved the NSX, the years had caught up to it, and we had to admit it wasn’t going to win any comparison tests. The GranTurismo is like that last NSX: It’s managing to hold back the years better than you’d expect and remains a joy to listen to and to drive.
It’s a bit underpowered for the class of 2018, which means it’s objectively behind more modern cars from Porsche, Jaguar, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. Subjectively, the Maserati scores style points for its exterior design and the hand-built quality of its interior. Like every Maserati ever built, it toys with your emotions and suppresses rationality. Whenever that delayed Alfieri-like replacement arrives, it might be too soon for some of us.
For Maserati GranTurismo Rent in Dubai gets Chrysler’s 8.4-inch UConnect system, with navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, USB ports, and an auxiliary input. The GranTurismo’s standard audio system is a 900-watt, 10-speaker unit by Harmon Kardon.
